Hi! I'm Jordi Casado Borrull
My Phylosophy in Clinical Practice

“During more than 20 years of clinical practice in the field of Physiotherapy and Chinese Medicie, I’ve come to appreciate, and have learned, that each of us is different and needs different treatments.
The basis of therapy lies in the time you spend with your patient, and everyting you can observe, percive and konw about them.
My treatment Philosophy has always been to get to know all those aspects of the person that allow me to address the problem that is causing the pain, the poor functionality of their body, or simply not being well at a given moment.”

What do we treat with Chinese Medicine, how does it work?

Chinese Medicine with all its own techniques such as acupuncture, Cupping, Tui Na, etc…, seeks the balance of the persone in all its facets, as the axis in the treatment of those body imbalances that create the state of disease or psico-physical blockage.
Chinese Medicine is particularly effective in pain management, treating the different layers that make up the human body. The treatment using Cupping or Tui Na, improve the movement of blood flow and together with the use of acupuncture, will produce an analgesic effect and homeostasis in pain conditions.
Movement is life, all the therapies of Chinese Medicine are aimed at creating unblockages, improving blood mobility or simply stimulating the body’s energy in order to re-establish a balance.
Chinese Medicine techniques that I use in my clinical practice
Tui na:
Is the traditional Chinese therapeutic massage technique developed thousands of years ago to stimulate, unlbock and harmonise the energy flowing through the body.
Tui Na massage uses manual techniques on acupuncture points to manipulate the flow of Chi (energy in the body) without needles, to relieve pain and improve overall health.

Cupping:
Is a type of natural treatment that serves to improve blood circulation in a region of the body. For this, cupping creates a vacuum effect that suction the skin, increasing the diameter of the blood vessels in the region. As a result, there is increased oxygenation of these tissues, allowing toxins to be released from the blood and muscle more easily. Increases blood circulation in the region and eliminates muscle contractures.

Acupuncture:
Acupuncture techniques are based on the idea that the body is composed of energy circulating through the body channels called meridians. If the flow of energy in these meridians is unbalanced, it can lead to blockages in the body, causing symptoms such as pain, tiredness or inflamation.
Therefore the aim of acupuncture is to restore the body’s balance by facilitating the circulation of energy, triggering analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.

Qi Gong:
Qi Gong is a medical discipline of Chinese origin whose aim is to know, use and optimise the energetic system of the human body as understood by Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Following the principles of Qi Gong, we maintain a good state of health when there is abundant circulation of vital energy in our organism without stagnation or deficiency.
We are healthy and our immune system is stable when we are internally balanced. Therefore, the regular practice of qigong helps people to keep their bodies active and to create homeostasis and a correct activation state of all body systems.
